Taecyeon Hilariously Responds After 2PM Jun K, Jaejoong Threw 'Shade' at Him

The interaction between JYJ Jaejoong and 2PM members Jun K and Taecyeon is giving fans major 2nd-gen "crumbs"!

On Aug. 22nd, JYJ Jaejoong's YouTube web show "Jaefriends" Episode 49 aired, and it featured 2PM Jun.K.

Their meeting of the two 2nd-gen icons garnered attention from viewers due to their comfortable and hilarious anecdotes about the previous K-pop era.

While recalling their interaction in the 2000s, Jaejoong, originally a TVXQ member, recalled the time he met his junior 2PM and his first impression of them was how big and tall the members were.

For context, 2PM is known for its members being among the "hottest" idols for their height and muscular physiques.

Jaejoong then confessed that due to this, TVXQ was also pressured to work out and build their bodies before pictorials for a men's magazine since their juniors left a strong impression when they did it first.

Hearing this, Jun.K revealed that he originally didn't have a muscular body.

"I'm not such a big person, you know? The 'beast idol' thing doesn’t really suit my personality. Somehow, just hanging out with these bigger guys, I ended up looking big, too. Since I looked bigger with them."

Jaejoong, however, shed light on the change in K-pop culture, wherein muscular idols now aren't seen as "cool" as before.

"These days, it's not that cool anymore."

Without thinking much, Jun.K suddenly mentioned Ok Taecyeon and roasted his fellow member.

"Hm~ OK TAECYEON? You’re subtly criticizing TAECYEON now, aren’t you? You’re saying TAECYEON is too big, aren’t you?"

Taecyeon, who is also a 2PM member, is known for his bulky physique. He went viral upon enlisting in the military as his already huge body grew. The idol-actor also received praises when his photos in military uniform were seen on social media. This was the reason he earned the title "Captain Korea" after giving up his American citizenship to serve South Korea.

Jaejoong, who was impressed by Taecyeon's build, complained about how he was able to maintain it despite not watching his diet. He recalled the time they met at a restaurant and saw him eating whatever he wanted.

Jaejoong said:

"I recently met TAECYEON at a Gopchang restaurant. But eating gopchang means…"

Jun.K continued:

"He’s not watching his diet!"

MC Kim replied in fascination and added:

"Exactly! Eating comfortably means he’s more relaxed about food. It was really nice to see."

This interaction became even more wholesome when Taecyeon responded to the two indirectly saying he's "not cool" anymore.

On Instagram, he liked Jaejoong's post about the episode and left a comment, saying:

"My ear was a bit itchy, kekeke."

In response, Jaejoong saved himself by replying,

"cool Taecyeonni~"

When this scene circulated on X, Cassiopeas (Jaejoong fans) and HOTTEST (2PM fandom) screamed at the interaction between the three. They felt delighted with how funny yet comfortable they were to throw shade at Ok Taecyeon, proving the unbeatable friendship of idols back then.
