Living in the age of web programs, there are many more options for K-Pop idols to showcase their charms outside of traditional television. They may even receive the opportunity to showcase their MCing skills, interacting with various guests across regularly scheduled weekly episodes.
Among the various idol MCs currently promoting, there’s EXO’s XiuMin with his very own “XiuMin’s Ramyeon Store“. Through the program, he meets with various guests, cooks ramyeon for them, and has a nice, entertaining chat while eating. In the most recent episode, XiuMin was joined by Apink‘s leader and maknae, Park ChoRong and Oh HaYoung.
Seeing them in one frame resulted in a hot response from fans, with clips popping up across various social media sites.
A Reason To Rejoice For Longtime K-Pop Fans
While still active in the scene, idols who debuted during the third generation or earlier naturally takes things much slower than before. With established careers, they no longer need to constantly be in the spotlight, allowing them to take a slower, more relaxed approach to the shows they want to appear on. Due to these lessened schedules, it’s always a treat to see older generations return to the screen, as they made a name for themselves on variety programs.
Seeing XiuMin, ChoRong, and HaYoung in one frame provided a heartwarming taste of nostalgia for all longtime K-Pop fans. It reminded many of some of their interactions over a decade ago when their career was starting to take shape with various accomplishments. Being from the same generation definitely helps to ease the tension, making way for fun and natural interactions between the idols.

One of the highlights of the episode was the constant battle between power T, XiuMin, and power F, HaYoung. After introductions, they quickly established a friendly atmosphere and it didn’t take too long for the two to end up bickering like siblings. Throughout the episode, XiuMin and HaYoung had a back and forth that had viewers laughing all throughout.
ChoRong didn’t remain a simple bystander either, as she also joined in the bickering between the two. Though there was a contrast between T and F, XiuMin and HaYoung’s small jabs at each other were lighthearted and fun, clear evidence of why clips of their interactions were floating around the K-Pop community.

Outside of circulating clips of the show on social media, fans also commented on the video itself sharing what they thought of the episode. Many expressed how fun it was to watch as a fan of both EXO and Apink. Witnessing the chemistry between the idols, viewers couldn’t help but comment how much fun they had watching the three.
It reminded everyone of the days when their groups were actively promoting across variety shows everywhere. ChoRong and HaYoung were able to show their naturally funny selves and mesh well with XiuMin at the same time has many shouting their praise. Now, many are looking forward to future collaborations between the idols, whether it’s on another variety show or a surprise appearance at an event.
EXO’s XiuMin with Apink’s ChoRong and HaYoung show that they will always be timeless icons. They can switch from being amazingly charismatic on stage to naturally funny on a variety program. Hopefully they’ll be able to collaborate again very soon – fans are already excitedly anticipating the chaos that will ensue.
